Here’s a question you probably aren’t asking yourself enough as a homeschool mom …
“Am I stopping to smell the dandelions?”
I know, usually it’s roses we should be smelling, but dandelions are more abundant at my house, and they have a smell of summer that is hard to beat. Summer is more than a season of course – it is a feeling, a freedom. As you plan out your days this summer, make sure to include items of “Great Importance “on your must-do list.
Looking for ideas? Here are some items of “Great Importance” that deserve a spot on the list …
- Back yard picnics
- Lazy afternoons featuring popsicles and bare feet
- Berry picking, any kind
- Summer evenings watching fireflies and stars come out
- Impromptu trips to the ice cream parlor
- A swing, a hammock, a rocking chair
- Getting wet in the rain … getting wet in the sprinkler
- Lemonade stands
- Snacking on fresh veggies in the garden
What will you add to your list? What will you take off your list to make room for items of “Great Importance“? Let me know!
As always, thanks for reading!
