Encouragement “Perfect”

Sometimes I feel like I don’t have what it takes to be a proper homeschool mom.

I don’t have enough children. (Last I checked, two children won’t get me into the homeschool mom club.)

I don’t have a lot of animals. (We do have one cat and that is my absolute limit.)

I don’t homestead. (I grow lupines. I mean, they are wild and grow themselves, but they sure look pretty for one month out of the year.)

I don’t have a proper homeschool classroom. (This is a hard truth for me, coming from a public school classroom.)

I haven’t homeschooled since Day 1. (I fell into homeschooling accidentally and by the grace of God.)

I could go on … I don’t do science experiments. I don’t have a sourdough starter. I don’t raise tadpoles into frogs or caterpillars into butterflies. I don’t use a homeschool curriculum. I’m not in a homeschool co-op.

And yet, despite this long list of everything I am not – I AM a homeschool mom! And I Am The Most Perfect Homeschool Mom for My Children! (You learned it here first – IATMPHMFMC. Don’t forget!)

So, the next time you start to wander off track and the negatives are piling up in front of you, just repeat after me. IATMPHMFMC. And if you can remember that, then you can truly do anything!!! 😉

As always, Homeschool Happy! You got this!
