We’ve all heard the joke about the stubborn spouse who won’t ask for directions and drives around in circles, going nowhere. It’s a classic – and based on truth!
Before we laugh (or groan) over this scenario, I have to ask – how many of us are guilty of this very thing? We struggle to find our way as moms and homeschoolers but refuse to ask for directions from those who have been there before. Why? Asking for help is NOT a weakness. It is a sign of personal strength and demonstrates a desire to move forward.
Homeschooling and parenting are hard enough. Ask for help whenever you need it. You may get 10 different answers to your question, and that is great! Each family and each homeschool is different, so you should expect different ideas and advice. Don’t feel overwhelmed, this is your chance to choose an answer that feels right for you and your family. You may also decide to try something completely different, and that’s okay, too!
I’ll talk about different ways to find support next week. In the meantime, I am always available for confidential and personal homeschool coaching. Or just email me and say hello! I love hearing from other homeschool moms. 😊
