Do you personally answer every email?

Yes! I truly enjoy getting to know each and every homeschool family!

Do you have experience transitioning from public school to homeschooling?

Yes. We transitioned from public school to homeschooling with my oldest. Most of my coaching during the pandemic was with parents who were leaving the public schools.

Can you help me adjust my curriculum to fit my family’s needs?

Yes! There are many ways to customize a “boxed” curriculum. This is a common question I get from coaching clients.

Can you help me prepare my child’s portfolio?

Absolutely! This is a popular coaching topic.

Are you a certified teacher?

Yes. I am certified as a K-6 Elementary Teacher in Maine. I previously held a teaching certificate in North Carolina and an ESOL endorsement (now expired) and have many years of experience teaching ESL students.

How do you know my state’s homeschooling requirements?

Can you help me choose a curriculum?

No. Homeschool Sunshine does not offer curriculum consulting.

Can you provide an official evaluation for my state’s annual assessment requirement?

Possibly! Each state has its own laws about annual assessments. Please email me with your state of residence and I can check for you, or you can review your state’s homeschool laws here.

Is homeschool coaching confidential?

Yes. Your emails are only seen by me and no part of them will be shared without your permission.  

Is your coaching Christian-based?

No. Although I am Christian, Homeschool Sunshine offers coaching to all homeschool families! Coaching is tailored to you and your needs.
